The essence of Mishka
An 18 year old, born and raised in the city of Johannesburg, here to make a difference. As an alumni of the Johannesburg Student Council, I am passionate about leaving a long lasting impact. My advocacy is to empower our youth by providing them with opportunities to gain leadership and life skills, by providing upskilling initiatives with the collaboration of NPO's, to reach their predestined potential- and radiate through their resilience.

It was destined in the stars- from the time I submitted my application, even though I knew I've got what it takes to make the Top 30, it was up to God's plan. Gracefully, I got the confirmation email- but there was a mountain that still was before me- interviews! My nerves were skyrocketed throughout the day of interviews, especially considering the fact that I hadn't eaten anything. Lo and behold, the Top Ten email arrived the next day and I was so excited for my journey. Some of our projects are highlighted below!
Established almost 40 years ago, they are a manufacturer of optimal quality cosmetics and the one of the largest manufacturers of nail polish in South Africa. Founded in the town of Bloemfontein, and growing, while providing affordable makeup and cosmetic products. At the mention of makeup- the excitement and content creator within me lit up! The amount of "GRWMs" and selfies that will be born from this collaboration are endless!
Public Choice
Through Mosetsana Feminine (Pty) Ltd, founded by Neo Cholo and Goitseone Maboe, was the creation of a phenomenal menstrual pad production brand. Their goal is to combat period poverty through the provision of affordable, accessible, high quality pads nationwide. They aim to reform and destigmatize periods and Nthathana and I have the privilege and opportunity of collaborating with them throughout our journey as Mr and Miss UJ APK '25 finalists.
