I grew up in one of South Africa’s home for rich history and diverse culture - Soweto. I am a final year student persuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Econometrics. From Soweto’s vibrant streets to the vibrant community of UJ, I’m driven to make a difference, one stride, one musical note, and one equation at a time.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JOURNEY: PROUDLY WEARING THE SASH & SHOWING UP

EVENT 1: Women’s Day Empowerment Event @Sophiatown Residence: I was invited as a guest speaker and I spoke about women using their own voices to subjectively define womanhood, what it looks like and what they want it to be. It was a beautiful experience, and I am appreciative of the recognition and opportunity granted by Sophiatown Residence.

EVENT 2: Community Engagement Project Presentation Day @UJ Community Engagement Offices.

I have been motivated by this challenge to work harder and find new ways to improve my existing organization, Arising Stars. I am now even more eager to continue bringing my vision to life and to see what lies ahead.
