As a finalist , I am proud to be part of the #PeriodFriendlyWorld Campaign with Mosetsana Pads. We were challenged to create innovative menstrual care solutions that focus on accessibility, education, sustainability, and empowerment.

GENISIS: WHAT IS A PERIOD FRIENDLY WORLD?
Together with my partner, Tadiwanashe Duri, we engaged with the UJ community to understand their vision of a period friendly world. The community describes such a world as one where menstruation is recognized as a natural and normal part of life, free from stigma and shame, and where pads are easily accessible.
TEAM EDUCATION’S SOLUTION TO A PERIOD-FRIENDLY WORLD:
A public pad dispenser is a wall-mounted installed unit, installed in public restrooms that provides free sanitary pads to those in need. It's designed to make menstrual products easily accessible, and discreet, especially in spaces like schools, clinics, and public facilities. By providing pads in a self-service format, individuals can obtain them without having to ask someone directly, promoting easy access and convenience.
