My name is Thapelo Nelson, and i am 22 years of age, i grew up in Johannesburg West in a small town called Luwishem. I am a third years studying BA in communications and my life strongly aligns with the Mr&Miss UJ APK 2026 theme which is Unstoppable horizon. I did not grow up confident and i did not grow up as a leader, i had to put myself in uncomfortable situations in order to grow, I had to believe in myself even in moments where i felt like i am not good enough. Being a dancer and poet really sharpened my stage presence and my identity. I love performing and every chance I get I make sure I leave with impact.

I am a strong believer of Jesus Christ who is my lord and saver. I am a youth leader at my church Goshen City Church and my faith in God has played a big role in my leadership roles. Bootcamp week
We had an exciting Bootcamp week that was very inspiring, insightful and informative. With all the days the was always something new to learn and with the contestants I got to learn a lot from them as well, we laughed, collaborated, ate together and just enjoyed every moment
Boot camp experience
Boot camp was really a vibe this video was day four of the bootcamp and this experience was really amazing. I enjoyed every moment with the other contestants. Padel green was fun i really enjoyed it and i think every student from UJ should experience it
