Nkululeko and Bulelani, two passionate entrepreneurs from the township, started their bakery business in 2021 to bring fresh, delicious baked goods to every household. With Nkululeko’s retail experience and Bulelani’s creative flair as a DJ, they combined their skills to create a thriving bakery that satisfies your cravings and empowers unemployed youth in our community.
Inspired by their mother’s small-scale cake baking, they expanded the business to offer various products, including bread, rolls, scones, muffins, biscuits, and garlic bread. Their mission is simple: no household should go to bed without bread, and no youth should be left without opportunity.
While we don’t offer online deliveries yet, we’re excited to connect with you online and share our journey!

Founded in 2021 by Nkululeko and Bulelani, The Bread of Life Bakery and Confectionery is a homegrown business based in Mofolo North, Soweto. What started as a small family initiative inspired by their mother's love for baking has grown into a thriving bakery serving the community with fresh, delicious baked goods.
We believe that no household should go to bed without bread, and we’re proud to provide affordable, high-quality products to our community. Our bakery also aims to empower unemployed youth in the township by creating opportunities for growth and skill development.
