No, participants are not allowed to use iPods or earphones during the race.
Yes, all runners participating in the 10km, 21km, 32km, and 48km races must either wear their permanent ASA license or register and display a temporary license.
No, runners are not allowed to display any advertising materials on their clothing during the race.
Official race numbers should be displayed on the front, and the permanent/temporary license should be displayed on the back of the running vest. Additionally, official numerical category tags must be displayed on both the front and back of the running vest.
No seconding is allowed outside the designated water point area. The "stand and hand" rule applies.
Walkers must wear a "W" on both the back and front of their running vest if they are competing for a prize.
Yes, marshals and traffic officials must be obeyed at all times during the race.
Yes, participants can appeal against the decision of the referees by submitting a written appeal along with a payment of R500.00 to the race organizer.
Yes, the decision of the jury of appeal is final. Winners must attend the prize-giving ceremony.
The cash prizes for the open category will be paid after the doping results have been issued.
All winners of prize money must provide an original or certified copy of their ID, birth certificate, or passport, as well as proof of banking details. No prize money will be paid on race day.
