Greetings, I'm Ranwedzi Edgar Muhovha. I am 21 years old. I'd best describe myself as a curious, confident and God-fearing young man. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Science in life & environmental science in physiology and biochemistry with the intention of bridging into medicine and become a physician. I have aspirations of being a model, a self-improvement coach and also become MR South Africa 2028. My core purpose is to inspire males into being more confident and more self-improved in order to have a healthy and more fulfilling life without self-limitations and doubts. I believe that the first step to fulfilling and achieving this purpose could start with an opportunity such as the Mr. & Miss UJ APK 2024 pageantry. I can make a difference starting with something as small as ensuring that in the upcoming years there's more than 5 males competing for such a huge opportunity. The rising phoenix is one that is awaken and rising from depths of deepest fears. Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, reborn with a wisdom and strength that creates a light that shines bright enough to help encourage and inspire others out of their own darkness there couldn't be a better way to define RANWEDZI EDGAR MUHOVHA.
AUDITION VIDEO
Almost another year of not doing what I want because of the pressure of not knowing what will happen, what will people say and if I am good enough. Last minute video in a rush and thinking the video is bad I probably won't make it.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
The beginning of the journey. Excited and yet scared of the unknown future and what lies ahead. The pressure was not bad I thought I have time to work on everything I need to work on. at this point I'm all about growing and my curiosity at a peak high.
INTERVIEWS
Practicing how to introduce myself before the interview. I was nervous so I was stuttering and kept forgetting my introduction.
Interviews were great. I was a little more confident since I was the best dressed in the room out of all the males. The introduction didn't go as planned but the interview was great. on to the next...
REHEARSALS
First days of practice were great I had to find a balance between rehearsal time(16:00pm-19:00) and Bsc practicals (which end at 17:00) this meant I had to run from class to rehearsals 3 times a week. This was one of the challenges I had to face because I hated being late for rehearsals. But I had to do with what I have. So the first days of rehearsals were not bad, it was walking and posing but there was not much pressure.

Working with Thuli from stride is an amazing experience because you get to learn and also get insight on what to expect on the day of the pageant. Thuli is a great, professional and phenomenal woman. Shut out to stride. Challenge was show your stride(pageant walk) and give the greatest lesson you learnt from Thuli.
UNIQUE CHOICE
The hardest video by far but yeah, the beard oil works it got my beard looking denser than before and the other hair products were amazing it kept my hair shiny and moisturized

SUIT HUNTING
Now with finding a suit for the night it was tough and heart breaking because I love a _____ color suit. That's all I can say and one of the Ranwedzi's special challenge is guess the color of suit I'll be wearing on the night. The 3 first people to guess the right color will get chocolates from me personally on the night.

THE WEEK OF THE SHOW
The week of the show had to be the hardest week of my life. I have 4 tests to write and a pageant to prepare for. But the Sunday was well spent at the Bella clare day spa where self-care is a necessity, we were offered a free massage, and it didn't feel free service was amazing. Spent the day with Given one of the contestants my biggest competition and one of the most amazing guys I've ever met he's really a worthy contestant even the other guys are worthy, but I got to talk to Given on a personal level which made me realized the similarities between us and things I can learn from him. Sunday was well spent and shout out to Bella Clare day spa for the amazing day. Looking forward to rest of the week...
