NTHATO TUMELO MATHEBULA
Miss UJ APK 2026 Top 10 finalist
The horizon is not where my journey ends. It is where my purpose begins.
I am Nthato Tumelo Mathebula, "ngwanyana Pitori", and I am a proud Miss UJ APK Top 10 finalist. I am 18 years of age, and a first-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, and Marketing Management. I am also a social media content creator. This journey is about more than a crown, it is about creating space for women in sports media, inspiring future leaders, and proving that purpose will always carry us beyond the horizon.
Where My Horizon Began
Before I became a Top 10 finalist, I was simply a young woman from Pretoria with a dream bigger than herself.
I proudly call myself Ngwanyana Pitori because Pretoria shaped my resilience, my confidence, and my belief that ordinary beginnings can lead to extraordinary destinations.
Miss UJ has challenged me to grow beyond my comfort zone, discover my voice, and embrace every opportunity with purpose. Every stage of this competition has reminded me that growth happens when we dare to look beyond what we can already see.
My Journey So Far
My Why
I compete because I believe every young woman deserves to see herself represented in spaces where decisions are made, and stories are told. My purpose is to inspire confidence, challenge stereotypes, and create opportunities for women in sports media. If my journey encourages even one young woman to believe that her dreams belong to on the biggest stages, then every step has been worthwhile.
My Advocacy: She Calls The Game
She Calls The Game is an advocacy that promotes greater representation of women in sports media. While more women are participating in sports now more than ever before, many remain underrepresented behind the camera, behind the microphone, and in sports journalism. My mission is to encourage young women to pursue careers in sports broadcasting, journalism, commentary, photography, and digital media while challenging outdated stereotypes about who belongs in sports.
Why Vote For Nthato?
A vote for me is a vote for purpose, representation, and positive change. I am committed to using the Miss UJ platform to champion in sports media, inspire young women to pursue their dreams fearlessly, and create opportunities for future generations. Together, we can prove that no horizon is beyond our reach.
My Mission, and Vision
Mission: Empower and inspire women to pursue careers in sports media by promoting representation, confidence, and equal opportunities within the industry.
Vision: Create a future where women are equally represented across all areas of sports media, and every young woman feels empowered to pursue her passions without limits.
