ABOUT ME
I am a young diamond that was unearthed in the land of South Africa, and I am a beauty with a
purpose! Dumelang and Hello, my name is Letlhogonolo Rachel Basime and I am from the
beautiful land of South Africa. I am a 24-year-old, born and bred in a beautiful village called
Ganyesa that is in the Northwest but currently situated in Gauteng. I am a model; I am a student
and also doing my internship with the Central Office of Tshwane North College as an Assistant
Manager.I advocate for Models with scars, I stand strong in my advocacy since all my life I have always
asked myself and the internet whether if I can be an aspiring model with my visible scars and I
found my answer to be “Scars tells a story”. I believe that people should show off their scars as it
is a budge of honor, and it can also inspire a lot of people who looks up to them to be more
confident as they are

I have entered Miss Waterfall South Africa 2023 because I have always wanted to be an agent of
change but not just any change, positive and effective change. I already see this as a platform
that will help me, and my project called “Act of Kindness with HlogiieRachel” to be heard and be
recognized as a positive impact in our communities.
I should be the next Miss Waterfall South Africa 2023 because I believe that it will be both an
honor and responsibility to carry such a big title. I am a firm believer that a title comes with a lot
of responsibilities, and I am fully prepared to do what it takes to honor this title and do what I am
bound to do during my reign, and I also believe that my voice will be heard for my advocacy. I see
this as an amazing platform that will link beauty with smart, hence I am a beauty with a purpose!

Through my project “Act of Kindness with HlogiieRachel” I have done an amazing thing for our
people from different cultures. As Miss Waterfall SA 2023 finalist, I have celebrated my June 16
(Youth Day) by giving at least 50 Take-aways of food and 50 bottles of juice to the homeless in
Pretoria City of Tshwane and I believe there is still more to do as this is only the beginning.

For simple reason? My smile! have seen how it has been easy for people to reach out to me and
the first thing they complimented was my smile. I believe that I have made a lot of friends just
through my smile since it screams out kindness! I never let who I am or what I am describe me
first but my kindness, my consistency, my hard work and my positive mindset
