My Journey

Becoming Miss UJ Top 10 finalist has been a journey of growth, resilience and leadership in becoming an Unstoppable Horizon. It has challenged me to become a courageous and strong advocate for positive change within our community.

My Advocacy

Beyond No

Beyond No is an advocacy initiative aimed at promoting consent education and rape awareness. It moves from the notion that consent is the absence of a 'no', but the presence of a clear, voluntary and on going 'yes'.  Through this advocacy, I aim to promote respect, accountability, and healthy relationships while challenging harmful misconceptions surrounding sexual violence.

Objectives

My first objective is to establish outreach programmes in primary and high school, where I will educate children and young people about consent , healthy boundaries, equipping them with knowledge to recognise, prevent, and speak out against sexual violence.

My second objective is to petition to the school board to put more funds towards employing more therapists at PsyCaD for victims in order to effectively aid victims timeously.

My third objective is to partner with organisations that specialise in supporting survivors of sexual violence to host workshops, that aim to assist PsyCaD in counselling more students.
