Behind The Crown
I am Katlego Mahlasela born in Mpumalanga, raised in Johannesburg, and 23 years old. I’m a 2× PR graduate, award-winning presenter, ambivert, storyteller, and Miss UJ Top 10 finalist. I share my student life through vlogs, build brands with bold ideas and use my voice to inspire. The therapy that heals my soul? A beautiful outdoor adventure that reminds me how limitless I truly am.
My Journey
The first week of bootcamp was amazing more than anything, getting to know my fellow contestants in detail was everything. We connected, shared our stories, and supported one another as future Queens & Kings.
We also had activities like cycling and got to learn more about the university in a new, exciting way. The beauty of having a team that was supportive and uplifting was truly a bonus.
This was the week where the reality of making it to the Miss UJ Top 10 really sank in and I felt every moment of it. This is just the beginning.
