Hope Mampa Zuri Princess of the BaPedi tribe.

As a young woman I support the notion of "A new day is a given second chance for you as young human to try again and focus on your dreams" . Remember dreams delayed are not dreams denied, you can still make it. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind, effort and determination to the things you want to achieve in life. I am fighting for every African who is denied an opportunity to become what he/she want to do be,

I grew up in Limpopo and Gauteng, this has groomed me into becoming a very diverse individual having to adapt to cultural change. It has taught me that, culture is identity. An individual's understanding of their own identity starts from within, however it is shaped by the values prevalent at home. With individuals adapting to popular culture, mass and social media, it can be easy for one individual to end up identifying with multiple cultures and this can result in identity complex over time. Should I chosen as a Zuri princess representing the Bapedi culture I will encourage youngsters to know their roots and teach them about culture. This is the most important aspect in our lives. Our culture is what defines who we are. If you don't know what does your culture mean it means you don't know your origin. I will motivate and teach them about our culture and some of the skills I have of which is crocheting. In that way our youth will be empowered and motivated to do something for themselves and not wait for someone to provide for them. In our tribe there is an initiation stage where boys are taught about the manhood and girls are taught about womanhood and that is one of the important things I will teach our girls and boys. I will be teaching them about how to present themselves and how to hold themselves with dignity. Maitshwaro amabotse alota seriti samotho (good behavior preserve your dignity)

I have a business that I can use to inspire my people and I also believe it could contribute in the economy of designing industry. Through my business Hoppe crafts I believe that people will be empower and motivated to start their own businesses and fight poverty and the struggle. When knowledge is been spread out, everyone feels included and empowered. A lot of people would like to start something for themselves but they do not know where and how to start but with these kind of programs of empowerment they will know where and how to start then together we save the people of Africa.
